Our Survey

Most people don't do anything to prepare for disasters. How do I know? Go to a store the day before a storm and look around. Milk and bread...gone. Snow shovels...gone. We also conducted a survey on this topic to see how prepared people are for disasters and emergencies. We performed an internet survey in February 2021, asking people in the PA, DE, NJ area about their preparation for disasters. Of course, responses would likely change based on the region of the country and risks (such as wildfires or tornados, rather than a blizzard). Here's what we got. Question 1: "Which would be most likely to affect your home?" Answers: #1-Power Outage; #2-Blizzard; #3-Flooding Great, so let's see if people prepare for these issues. On to question 2...
